This is one of the heat deflectors that came with the house. The words read:

The sides are pretty sturdy, maybe iron but the deflector is light weight, perhaps aluminum? I think the bulges on the side are to hold waterso that evaporation would help keep the humidity up.

Does anybody have a similar device or seen one for sale?

  1. These were known as air deflectors. Hardware stores still modern plastic and metal ones not nearly as ornate and useful as yours with the water resevoirs.
