So after a short survey, my fears were confirmed - we live in a gas guzzler. I could almost cry. The last few months we were burning nearly 275 gallons of oil each. At over $3 a gallon I was ready to have a heart attack. All that with the thermostat at 50! Of course wood was used to supplement. I don't know how the previous owners did it. Needless to say insulation, windows and doors are in order before next winter. Oh I wonder what we were thinking sometimes.
