Spring Break is finally here, and I can now focus on work around the house. It has been way too long. I'll probably regret it tomorrow but spent around six hours today cleaning flower beds. All that was finished was the knot garden, but it looks so much better - motivation to clean up the other beds.
I pulled all the black-eyed susan stems and cleared the leaves that had collected. The roses were pruned and fresh compost added.
Th three bin compost system is now in full swing with the fruits of two years being a full cubic yard of compost that has the color and consistency of chocolate cake. The second bin is well on its way and the third was cleared to receive all of today's clippings.
There is nothing better than dirty hands :)
