I can appreciate keeping our environment safe and being responsible for the world our children inherit, but does green have to be so cold? Sure the old gas lamps produced a lot of smoke but they also gave off heat. And those uncool incandescents, they gave us the easy bake oven. I have yet to have a fluorescent fixture cook me dessert. Come to think of it, if I switched out the electric saving 40 watt bulbs for a few 60's, I might be able to take my sweatshirt off a couple times this winter AND see where I'm going. Oh well, at least we can still light a few candles - I recycled some old crayon stubs and a broken shoe string:D
