Bugs Beware

How to make a bug catcher: Our youngest just loves bugs. She can often be found looking under rocks and chasing down butterflies, so of course she always wants another bug catcher for her collection. Here's an easy way to make one yourself.

You will need: an old, cleaned out peanut butter jar. (Our picky Mom chooses only Jiff so we have clear plastic jars with red screw on lids.) And an old piece of window screen.
Drill a hole in the middle of the lid. Take the blade off a coping saw. Thread it through the hole and reattach it to the saw. Now cut out the inside of the lid, about 1/4" away from the sides. Then cut the screen to fit inside the lid. There you have it, a homemade bug catcher.
