Since everyone's been talking about the price of gas, I thought I'd throw out a question. Our new water system requires a steady supply of salt for the brine tank. We picked up five 50 pound bags today at $6 each. The only hassle is the drive since their closest store is about thirty minutes away. Of course they only recommend using their brand, but would any other salt be just as good AND cheaper?
