Aerodynamic Housing

Does anyone really think about the aerodynamics of their house? Today we're under a blizzard and severe snow storm warning but the biggest problem is the drifting snow. So far we've received about a foot of snow but it's drifted up to two feet in some places. Are there fancy lawn ornaments or plant arrangements that would help reduce the drifting? What if the house were round instead of square?
Really now, what else am I supposed to think about while shoveling snow for two hours? I'm so ready for heated sidewalks.

  1. Down here in Greencastle it was a little better. Sorta. I'm not sure how much snow we ended up with, but it's less than you. We did, however, receive about an inch of freezing rain and 3 inches of sleet before we actually got any snow. There ain't NUTHIN' movin' out there today.

Sign me up for the heated sidewalks...

  2. I think it's really odd how you can see bare dirt in spots and a few feet away is a three foot drift. That wind was awful.
