This afternoon we went to the World's Greatest Hobbie on Tour train show at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The kids really enjoyed themselves and are all excited to drag out the Thomas stuff again.
One whole building was just vendors and another was filled with huge layouts and two tracks the kids could ride. And since kids' admission was free, you can imagine how crowded it was. Plenty of HO stuff and a good showing for N gauge but almost all the O gauge was Lionel. I didn't find any Marx things at all to add to the train under the tree.
I thought this little layout was a real hoot. Who says you can't take the train set with you? The entire Z gauge oval fits right into an old hard sided suitcase - Just remember to keep the spare parts in a sandwich size Ziploc so airport security won't stop you!
