This is a quart of apple jelly that we found in the basement shortly after moving in. It's an old Mason jar complete with the old, silver top. The jelly is still sealed inside but doesn't look too edible. Since Jennie Hutchinson died in 1970, it's at least thirty-five years old but probably much older. What fascinates me is the paper used to mark the contents - the top of a Bible concordance page!
