Sorry but there just hasn't been much going on with the house lately, what with school starting and all. Yesterday Amy did clean and rearrange both kids' rooms. Now if they would only stay clean. For some odd reason all the animals and Legos just love to lay on the floor. We're trying something different with the Legos though. By putting them in an under-bed-box hopefully they will be spread out enough to rummage through but easier to put away since they aren't spread out on the floor. We'll see!
We have a six year old with his own Legos and all the Legos my mother-in-law saved from my husband's childhood (which number in the thousands of little pieces, I suspect). Although we have very little space for it all, we have devoted a whole bookcase with lots of small Rubbermaid tubs to all the Legos, sorted out into different types and shapes.
ReplyDeleteSome times I long to get rid of them all.
Under the kid's beds, we have the toy trains and Lincoln Logs.
I've thought about sorting them too (even found a sorter on-line) but really, what kid is going to take the time to keep them organized? And I think that's part of what keeps him occupied for so long, hunting for the allusive piece.
ReplyDeleteOur trains and Lincoln logs are still in the closet too.
