We made a quick stop at Lowe's this evening and picked up a couple wall tile samples for the bathroom. "Biscuit" and "Taupe" were the colors of choice. And of course everybody had to grab a handful of paint sample cards to match (I doubt we'll go with the kids' Spongebob/Blue's Clues color scheme). But the purchase that really thrilled Amy was the new toilet seat. It's white with brushed nickel hardware. The kids preferred the see through one with blue bubbles but Mom overruled. Our current seat downstairs is a lovely faux wood grain that matches the faux parquet vinyl flooring which was installed in the early 90's.
